I just read (stupidly) about open rhinoplasty. It looks gross. That is what I am having, and the difference is that they cut through the skin between your nostrils to get in the nose better for surgery. Apparently it helps the doctors see and perform much better. It leaves a very small scar.
My surgery is called; Open Septorhinoplasty with Bone repos (what the hell is this???) Cartilage Graft, Nasal Septum. I am def. calling tomorrow to ask about that bone repositioning because i don't remember hearing that word by my doctor.
Anyway the photo I saw showed a nose being pulled back kinda like if you stick two fingers up your nose and pull to make a super pig looking nose .I probably should not have looked. I have also been looking at tons of before, healing stage and after pics of nose jobs at: www.makemeheal.com
